Guadalajara (Mexico) (EFE). - The Peruvian film "The Milk of Sorrow" was honored today with the award for Best Feature at the 24th Ibero-American edition of International Film Festival in Guadalajara , in western Mexico.
Peru's film, directed by Claudia Llosa and defeated the Spanish "Camino" by Javier Fesser, and Cuban "The Horn of Plenty" by Juan Carlos Tabio, among others, also took the award for Best Actress Iberoamericana, Magaly Solier.
The prizes of film festival in this city in western Mexico were announced by the Mexican director Arturo Ripstein ("The Queen of the Night") and will be delivered tonight at a special gala.
Recognition for Best Director went to the Spanish Latin American Chus Gutiérrez, with "Return to Hansala" which also won the distinction to the script.
Chapter interpretive addition Solier, Andres Parra was awarded by the Colombian film "The Passion of Gabriel".
"Road" won the award for Best Latin American Photography, which fell to Alex Catalan.
